12:47 PM Thu, 14 Nov 2024 - Tropical Storm Man-yi Passing Just North of Yap Island - Windy & heavy rains through early this afternoon.

Man-yi has max winds around 50 mph and is moving WSW at 20 mph. It is bringing windy conditions and heavy rain to Yap and nearby islands such as Ulithi & Fais. As Man-yi continues west-southwestward, winds and heavy rain will start to decrease. A Gale Warning is in effect for Yap through 5p ChST, then as winds slowly decrease, it will be replaced by a Small Craft Advisory until 6pm Friday. Hazardous surf and minor coastal flooding will also be a concern through late tonight, especially around times of high tides with the increased wind-driven surf. #weather #advisory #yap #state #storm #tropical
