Airport, Yap- On Thursday, February 15th, 2024, U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Brian S. Laidlaw and his team visited the State of Yap airport to address concerns and oversee operations. Captain Terrance Wheeler, alongside Yap State Protocol, led by the Director of protocol and focal point for all Department of Defense(DOD) and U.S. military developments in the state of Yap Alex Gilfiley of DYCA, was present to greet Brig. Gen Laidlaw and his team. 


Brig. Gen. Laidlaw’s visit aimed to ensure airport operations are aligned with PACAF’s mission of providing prepared air and space power in the Indo-Pacific region, reflecting his role as the Director of Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces in Hawaii.
