Building Bridges: Ambassador Kagomiya Nobuo's Dynamic Diplomatic Journey in Yap // Monday, May 13, 2024 // DYCA PIO

Yap, FSM –  On May 8th, His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Nobuo Kagomiya of the Embassy of Japan to the Federated States of Micronesia(FSM) made a courtesy visit to the State of Yap and to attend the graduation ceremony for FSM Fisheries and Maritime Institute(FMI) on May 10th. Accompanying H.E. Ambassador Kagomiya was his wife Madame Kumiko Kagomiya and Mr. Yasutaka Okamoto, Second Secretary of the Embassy. Before departing yesterday, on May 12th, Ambassador Kagomiya’s agenda included various engagements.


During the visit, Ambassador Kagomiya had a courtesy call with the Yap State Leadership, including Governor Charles s. Chieng and Speaker Nicholas Figirlaarwon, at the Yap State Legislature Chamber on Wednesday, May 8th. The following day, Ambassador Kagomiya participated in both the handover ceremonies for the Economic and Social Development Program and the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects. Additionally, he concluded the day with site visits to the ODA Project and meeting the children selected for the Japan-FSM Children Exchange program.
