Charting the Path: Malay and Thabeth Villages Unite for Ecosystem Sustainability // Friday, May 17, 2024 // DYCA PIO

Kanifay, Yap – Last week, the villages of Malay and Thabeth had a meeting at Malay Sunset Park consisting of the selected core individuals to construct a work plan for the sustainability of the ecosystem. Discussions focused on the 4 main objectives, including informing the community on the status of resources, 20% of the coastlines will be reinforced through natured-based activities, taro patches in the villages will be enhanced and maintained, and lastly at least 20% of invasive plants have been eradicated. Whereas, the team evaluated the activities, timeline, budget, baseline survey, and overall goal to implement the objectives of the last meeting session with PIMPAC into a set project plan.
