This is an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT from the Department of Health Services to the general public.
Please be informed that effective October 01, 2024, the OPD (outpatient department) hours at Yap hospital will be as follows: From Monday to Friday, outpatient services will be open from 7;30am in the morning to 7:30 in the evening. On the weekends and public holidays, it will be open from 7:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the evening. The hospital pharmacy will follow the same hours as OPD.
After the OPD (outpatient department) closes, only urgent or emergency cases will be seen in the Emergency Room by the doctor on call. Urgent or emergency cases include accidents, bleeding, falls, trauma, seizures, unresponsiveness, women in labor, sudden high fever especially in children, and other similar sudden illnesses.
Everyone is encouraged to visit the CHC sites or Yap Hospital OPD during regular working hours if they are feeling sick and need to see a doctor due to fever, cough, infected wound, dressing change, medicine refills, pain medicine, or if they are following up on their lab tests.
