Yap, FSM – According to the Yap Visitor Bureau(YVB), the 3rd Micronesian Expo is set to take place in Chuuk from July 22 to July 26, 2024. This significant cultural event will feature a variety of traditional performances and displays from across the region, including a performance from the municipality of Rumung, which will showcase a traditional men's dance. Additionally, the Yap Women Association (YWA), Neighboring Island Women Association(NIWA), The Tropical Touch Shop, and other traditional crafters were encouraged to provide local handicrafts and to join the delegation going to Chuuk to showcase some of the traditional handicrafts from Yap, offering attendees a unique glimpse into Yap's rich cultural heritage.

For this event, the national government will be only funding the participation of 25 delegates from each state. This generous funding ensures a broad representation from across the Federated States of Micronesia, fostering cultural exchange and unity. Further details and updates about the expo will be provided as the event approaches.
