Yap, FSM – The national government of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), through the Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Affairs, is proposing a new regulation for pharmaceutical product registration. This regulation aims to safeguard public health by ensuring that only quality-assured medicines are imported while preventing the entry of substandard and counterfeit medicines for distribution or sale in FSM. The proposed FSM Pharmaceutical Product Registration Regulation will require medicines to be evaluated based on specific standards and requirements. If approved, the medicines will be registered and added to the approved list of products that can be imported into FSM. This regulation applies to all pharmaceutical products being imported, except those intended for personal use.
