Colonia, Yap– The Committee on Finance of the Eleventh Legislature of the State of Yap will conduct a public hearing during its Second Regular Session on October 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Legislature Chamber. The hearing will focus on Gov. Comm. No. 11-296, which pertains to the U.S. Federal Grants requiring legislative appropriation and extension. Specifically, the discussion will address the need for an additional appropriation of $80,998.00 for FY2024 Special Education which is effective from July 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. Key witnesses to be present are the Office of Planning & Budget Chief of Budget, Office of Administrative Service Chief of Finance and Treasurer, and Department of Education Special Education Coordinator.
