Yap, FSM - The Yap Day celebration, scheduled for February 29th and March 1st, 2024, embodies the essence of Yapese traditions and cultural heritage preservation. The cultural event will unfold at the Yap Day site in Makiy, Gagil, where it has been confirmed that Gagil Municipality will showcase a traditional men-standing dance known as ‘Yalfath’. Chief Fithingmow of Gagil disclosed that the village of Gachpar, located within the Gagil municipality, will present the traditional men dance on the second day at nightfall, March 1st, 2024.
