Colonia, Yap- On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the Yap State 11th Legislature member's regular session at the Legislature Chamber at 10 am. Attendees present during the session were Honorable Speaker Nicholas Figirlaarwon, Honorable Vice Speaker Theodore Rutun, Floor Leader Terrance Fong, Senator Ann-Marie Laamar, Senator Pius Talimeisei, Senator Gabriel Ramoloilug, and Senator John Masiwemai. The session focused on the approval of several bills, including the following:
Bill No. 11-65:For Second Reading, A BILL FOR AN ACT, To appropriate the sum of $42,615.25 from the Special Revenue Fund of the State of Yap for the purpose of appropriating U.S. Federal grant funds awarded for Department of Health Services programs during Fiscal Year 2024, and for other purposes.
Bill No. 11-66, D1: For Second Reading, A BILL FOR AN ACT, To authorize the extension of lapse date of funds appropriated for Yap Small Business Development Center for use in Fiscal Year 2024, and for other purposes.
Bill No. 11-69: For Second Reading, A BILL FOR AN ACT, To appropriate the sum of $31,472 from the Special Revenue Fund of the State of Yap for the purpose of approaching U.S. Federal grant funds awarded for the SAPT-PFS Project with the Department of Health Services during Fiscal Year 2024, and for other purposes.
Bill No. 11-70: For Second Reading, A BILL FOR AN ACT, To appropriate the remaining balance of $77,829.13 from the Special Revenue Fund of the State of Yap for the purpose of extending the U.S. Grant Funds for Technical Assistance to the Office of the Public Auditor during FY2024, and for other purposes.
Bill No. 11-68: For Second Reading, To amend Yap State Law No.11-48, by amending Section 1 for the purposes of specifying the use of funds therein, and for other purposes.
