Colonia, Yap – In the Governor's Office at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, Theophilus Thinnifel was officially sworn in as the new Director of the Department of Health Services(DHS) in the State of Yap, with responsibilities in ensuring the health and wellbeing of the people of Yap. 

The oath of office was administered by Associate Justice Johnathan Machieng Tun and witnessed by Governor Charles Chieng, Lt. Governor Francis Itimai, DHS Deputy Director Dominic Taruwemai, and DYCA PIO Jovanna Nabetam.
