Pacific Heritage Journey: Yap's Historic Preservation Office Sets Sail for FestPAC // Monday, May 13, 2024 // DYCA PIO

Yap, FSM – The Historic Preservation Office(HPO) at the Department of Youth and Civic Affairs(DYCA) is anticipated to depart Yap State on June 5th to Honolulu, Hawai’i for the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture(FestPAC) at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum. The theme of the expo is “Ho’oulu Lahui: Regenerating Oceania,” based on voyaging and aims to restore the spirit of Pacific culture. Other notable representatives from the State of Yap is a dance group from Tamil Municipality, who will display a traditional dance. -more details to follow.
