Power Talk: Yap’s Committee on Finance Sparks Discussion on Electrical Pole Requests Friday, April 5, 2024// DYCA PIO

Colonia, Yap - The Committee on Finance of the 11th Legislature of the State of Yap held a public hearing regarding miscellaneous Comm. 11-46 on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 1 pm. This hearing pertains to four electrical pole installation requests from Mabuu. Attendees present include IPIC and EBRC Chairman Lt. Governor Francis Itimai, Speaker Nicholas Figirlaarwon, Vice Speaker Theodore Rutun, Senator Bamog, Senator Ann-Marie Laamar, and Senator Pius Talimeisei. Representatives of Weloy were Chief John Manguwan and Magmay Magmay from Okaw, along with John Yokbay and Jimmy Gangdad from Mabuu. YSPSC representatives included Jeffery Wuthel, Charles Falmeyog, and Gideon Moofal. The public hearing served as a platform to discuss and exchange information on electrical pole maintenance, replacement, cost structure, YSPSC policies and regulations, and more.
