Nimar, Weloy—We are stars that never give up on our dreams to rise.- St.Mary’s 2024 Graduates
On Wednesday, June 05, 2024, St. Mary’s Elementary School held their annual graduation in Nimar Weloy in the school’s gymnasium. The nineteen graduates are the seventieth class to depart from St. Mary’s since it’s opening in 1953. Attendees included Father Richard McAuliff, SJ, the Vicar of Yap State and the Director of Yap Catholic High School, the Director of St. Mary’s Elementary School, Father Moses Tashibelit, the Principal of St. Mary’s Elementary, Rufino Xavier, Martin Ruwniyol, representative of the College of Micronesia-FSM Cooperative Research Extension and Alex Gilfiley, Director of DYCA, the honored guest and keynote speaker, requested by the graduating class. The graduation ceremony highlighted the academic achievements of students and signified the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. It also served as a time for the graduates to reflect on personal growth and future aspirations.
