Attention, Yap Island Youth!
Join us on June 15, 2024, for a day of fun and engaging activities designed for all ages!
We are thrilled to announce a day of fun and island beautification brought to you by the Division of Youth Services at DYCA and Vital FSM Petroleum Corporation, a new partner for the Department of Youth Services and Civic Affairs.
The day will start with clean-up activities at Colonia Park from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. While that is ongoing, please join us for the walkathon from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The Clean-Up Walkathon will start at the Park and end at the Yap State Memorial Hospital. Wear your zories! In the afternoon, the Bus Stop Painting will begin at 1:00 PM and will continue until 4:00 PM at Colonia Park. Materials are provided; just bring your creativity and wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on! The day will conclude with a Movie Night at Colonia Park from sundown to 9:00 PM.
In addition, lunch will be provided, and we are excited to announce there will be giveaways including Vital t-shirts to the first 100 volunteers! These t-shirts come with special Isla Nesia products, including coconut oil and soap, as a token of our appreciation for every volunteer’s support and enthusiasm.
Please note that this event is child-friendly and alcohol-free, with security present. For painting, wear old clothes. Participation is free and open to all, donations are more than welcome. The day will conclude with another fun DYCA Community Movie Night.
