Yap, FSM – According to NOAA, Tropical Depression 22W has shifted far northwest from Yap and is currently located near the Philippines. With strong winds and rainfall continuing across Western Micronesia. Despite the storm moving away, a small craft advisory remains in effect for Yap through at least 6 PM Wednesday, October 23rd.
Wet, breezy to windy conditions persist, with the heaviest showers expected across Yap. As the Tropical Depression drifts further westward, the strongest winds of the thunderstorm surge will also begin to move west of Yap. Be careful of possible falling tree branches or bamboo on the roads or other areas.
