Waab Taguw Day (aka World Tuna Day) Announced for August 31st and September 1st

Yap, FSM – The Waab Taguw Day, also known as World Tuna Day, co hosted by Department of Resources & Development(R&D) and Department of Youth & Civic Affairs (DYCA) are gearing up for a lineup of various youth and community activities set for both August 31st and September 1st being held at the Living History Museum and at the Pine Club. 


Chairman Alexander YowBlaw, Deputy Director at R&D, and Vice-Chairman John Waayan Fillmed, Youth Division Chief at DYCA, along with other government divisions, community members and private sectors, are organizing a series of youth activities, fishing derby, boat race, traditional dances, island market, and more to celebrate the occasion. More details will follow.
