Weather and Tide Update for the weekend//Monday, September 13, 2024/// DYCA PIO


Yap, FSM - According to the National Weather Service, this weekend’s weather forecast till monday, expect partly sunny skies with isolated thunderstorms. South West winds from 15 to 20 miles per hour, on both Saturday and Sunday.


On Saturday, wind speed will occasionally gust up to 30 miles per hour.


Due to recent adverse weather conditions, including strong winds and heavy rains, there is an increased risk of falling trees in our area. We urge all residents to exercise extreme caution and avoid areas where trees may pose a hazard.

Here is the upcoming tide schedule for the weekend.


Saturday, September 14, 2024: High tide at 5:48 in the late afternoon with a height of 5.5 feet and 4:37 early Sunday morning with a height of 5.6 feet. Low tide at 10:34 Saturday morning with a height of 2.4 feet and another low tide at 11:11 late evening with a height of 4.2.

Sunday, September 15, 2024: High tide at 6:29 in the late morning at a height of 5.8 feet. Low tides at 11:35 late Sunday morning with a height of 2.2 feet and 12:05 midnight with a height of 3.8 feet.
