Weather and Tide Update for Tomorrow, Sept. 13thThursday, September 12, 2024/// DYCA PIO


Yap, FSM - According to the National Weather Service, tomorrow’s forecast predicts widespread locally heavy showers, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms, are expected. Conditions will remain cloudy with southwest winds of 20 to 25 mph. Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 85°F, with an 80 percent chance of rainfall. Areas experiencing intense downpours should exercise caution, so if you are planning to get betelnut for your market, make sure to wear your goggles.


The cloudy weather will persist as the evening approaches, with numerous heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms continuing through the night. Southwest winds will ease slightly to 15 to 20 mph, and overnight lows will settle around 77°F. The chance of showers will remain high at 70 percent, creating the potential for continued stormy conditions.

The tide schedule for tomorrow is as follows:


High Tide:

  • 1:44 AM – 4.5 feet

  • 4:55 PM – 3.9 feet


Low Tide:

  • 9:34 AM – 2.1 feet

  • 9:52 PM – 3.6 feet


So, if you were planning to go to the beach tomorrow, maybe it is not the best idea as the tide will be low in the morning until evening.
