Yap, FSM – This week, two cases of SARI were reported, including a 20-year-old diagnosed with pneumonia and a 5-year-old with both pneumonia and gastroenteritis.
Additionally, four diarrheal cases were reported from Main Hospital and Nimgil CHC, with lab confirmations identifying the following infections: 1) ESBL E. Coli, 2) Salmonella, and 3) a co-infection of Norovirus and Rotavirus.
Main Hospital also reported three cases of Dengue-like Illness (DLI), with two of these confirmed as leptospirosis through lab testing.
Data from 20 out of 23 health sites were submitted this week, with Nimgil CHC and Main Hospital specifically reporting syndromic illnesses.
