Yap, FSM – The Yap State Marine Resources Management Division(MRMD), in collaboration with Blue Prosperity Micronesia, participated in the College of Micronesia-FSM(COM-FSM) Career Fair Day on April 12th, 2024. The event aimed to showcase the vital marine work being conducted in Yap State and to inspire the next generation of leaders to pursue careers in marine conservation and resource management.
At the career fair, MRMD representatives had the opportunity to share the various marine initiatives underway in Yap, including allowing attendees to learn about the efforts to preserve and protect aquatic resources for future generations. One of the presenters included Mr. Keone Falgutrom, a senior at Yap Catholic High School(YCHS), currently interning at MRMD, who shared his firsthand experiences and insights into the importance of marine conservation and the rewarding opportunities available in this field.
