Colonia, Yap- On Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, a meeting was held by the Yap State Leaderships at the Yap State Legislature Chamber. Representatives from each of the four branches of the State of Yap Government(e.i. Executive, Judiciary, Legislative, and Traditional leaders) were present to discuss the $20 million pledge from the FSM President for Yap State. The $20 million pledge is a grant provided by the Chinese government under a China-FSM agreement.
The purpose of the meeting was to determine the most suitable utilization of the funds. The Leadership collectively agreed to prioritize such investment in secondary road infrastructures.
