Yap, FSM – The Committee on Government, Health, and Welfare (GHW) of the Eleventh Legislature of the State of Yap held an Oversight Hearing during the Second Regular Session of 2024 today, September 18th, at 10 a.m. in the Legislative Chamber. Witnesses present at the hearing included Director Thinnifel and Deputy Director Dominic Taruwemai of the Department of Health Services, the Chairman of the DHS Board, the Medical Referral Coordinator, the Chief of Clinical Services, the Chief of Staff at DHS, and a representative from the MiCare Yap Office. The hearing focus on the operations of the Yap State Department of Health Services and the medical referral process, including MiCare services.
