Yap State Meeting with Asian Development Bank Executive Director Rachel Thompson

Yap, FSM – Yesterday, August 5th, at 11:00 AM, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Executive Director Rachel Thompson, alongside ADB Director Advisors Ms. Sweety Kalbesang and Ms. Maya Yoshizaki, ADB Senior Pacific Country Officer Ms. Maybelline Andon, PCO Mr. Alan Semens, and FSM Assistant Secretary for Investment & International Finance Ms. Senny Phillips, paid a courtesy call to Yap State Government officials at the Yap State Legislature (YSL). The meeting included Honorable Governor Charles Chieng, Honorable Lt. Governor Francis Itimai, Honorable Speaker Nicholas Figirlaarwon, Chief of Staff Benedict Rikin, Vice Speaker Theodore Rutun, Senators Pius Talimeisei, Ann-Marie Laamar, Victor Bamog, Gabriel Ramoloilug, John Mafel, and Floor Leader Terrence Fong. Discussions focused on the various services ADB provides to FSM and Yap State, the necessary processes for each project, the initial steps required to meet certain measurements, and current projects including Ganir Bridge and northern roads. ADB expressed eagerness for future collaboration with Yap State.
