13th State National Leadership Conference and Donor's Roundtable Meeting

Yap, FSM – Next week, the 13th State National Leadership Conference (SNLC) and a Donor's Roundtable meeting will take place in Pohnpei from August 12 to August 16, 2024. These events are organized to bring together leaders, such as FSM President, Vice-President, and Governors and heads of states in the FSM to discuss important issues and foster collaboration. The SNLC and Donor's Roundtable are significant gatherings for discussing economic, environmental, and social issues, with sessions covering updates on the Compact, strategic development plans, finance, fisheries, energy, health, and more. These events aim to facilitate discussions on critical topics, share outcomes from recent summits and conferences, and strengthen collaboration among state and national leaders and donor partners. Participants from Yap State include Honorable Governor Charles Chieng, DYCA Director Alex Gilfiley, Vice Speaker of the 11th Legislature Theodore Rutun, Senator Pius Talimeisei, along with other governmental and legislative staff, who will meet with the President, various National Government leaders, and other heads of state.
