The 2025 Track and Field event was an exciting and successful day filled with energy, competition, and community spirit. Athletes came together to compete in various events including long jump, softball throw, and a challenging 5K run. At the Yap Sport Complex on Monday, 21, 2025.
In the long jump event, the girls’ category saw Victoria take first place with a jump of 3.91 meters, followed closely by Raina and Yuki. For the boys, Allazuan came out on top with an impressive 5.17-meter jump, while Midas and Ador tied for second and third place with equal distances of 4.64 meters.
The softball throw was another thrilling event. Yuki won the girls’ competition with a powerful throw of 38.4 meters, while Summer and Raina took second and third place. In the boys’ category, Ador claimed first place, followed by Allazuan and Ian, who were separated by just a few centimeters.
One of the highlights of the day was the 5K race, which included 12.5 laps around the track. Raina finished first in the girls’ race with a time of 28 minutes and 32.42 seconds, while Sherlda came second. In the boys’ race, AJ Moon led the pack with a time of 23 minutes and 6 seconds. MJ and Zach followed closely behind, both putting in strong performances.
At the end of the day, a special trophy ceremony was held. Alex Gilfiley Yad, Director of Youth and Civic Affairs, along with Father Rich, and from the U.S. Navy Military Zachary, proudly handed out trophies to all the winners. Their presence added a meaningful touch to the event, honoring the athletes’ dedication and hard work.
The 2025 Track and Field event was more than just a sports competition—it was a celebration of perseverance, unity, and the power of youth.
