Australian Ambassador Her Excellency Jenny Grant-Curnow Arrives for Official Visit to Yap

Yap, FSM – The Australian Ambassador Her Excellency Jenny Grant-Curnow, alongside her accompanying staff Mr. Jermis Noket, arrived in Yap early this morning, August 21st, via UA. This visit marks the Ambassador’s first official visit with the Yap State Government and various non-governmental organizations(NGOs) concerning Australian funded-projects and programs.


During her visit, Ambassador Grant-Curnow is scheduled to hold a series of courtesy meetings with key Yap State Officials. These include Honorable Governor Chieng and Honorable Lt. Governor Itimai, as well as meetings with the Honorable Speaker Figirlaarwon and the members of 11th Yap State Legislature. Additional courtesy calls will be made to the Council of Pilung and Tamol, the Yap Swimming Club, the Yap State Public Service Corporation (YSPSC), and other government officials and NGOs representatives.  


This visit aims to strengthen collaboration and discuss ongoing and upcoming Australian-supported initiatives in Yap State.
