Colonia, Yap- Mr. Sipho Bembe, a consultant with ICT, has been commissioned to conduct soil sampling surveys for two bridges in Yap State. Operating under ICT, which specializes in engaging with the Project Management Office(PMO), Mr.Bembe’s tasks involve conducting soil sampling surveys for two bridges, Donoch Bridge and Taligney Bridge, located near Manta Ray and Waab Hardware areas. The primary objective of his visit is to drill, collect soil samples, and ship the samples to a laboratory in India for testing. Once the testing process is completed, Mr. Bembe and his team will return to Yap State to design proper culverts for the two bridges. His main focus is to determine the depth of the surface, which will inform the design process and ensure the strength and stability of the structures. Additionally, the date of completion remains to be determined.
