Colonia, Yap - On January 31, 2024, esteemed dignitaries from Pohnpei and Kosrae State, including T.H. Governor Stevenson A. Joseph and Chief of Staff Kapilly Capelle, alongside T.H. Lt. Governor Arthy G. Nena and Resources Development(R&D) Director Rolner L. Joe, paid a courtesy call to Governor Charles Chieng and Lt. Governor Francis Itimai of Yap State. Also in attendance were Yap State cabinet members, including Director Alex Gilfiley of the Department of Youth and Civics Affairs(DYCA), Attorney General Joses Gallen, Chief of Staff Paul Ayin, and Director Joseph Giliko of the Office of Administration(OAS). This meeting aimed to discuss issues the states are facing and explore collaborative solutions for all citizens in the Federated States of Micronesia.
The Yap State Government hosted a dinner for the dignitaries on February 1st, 2024. This arrangement provides opportunities for exchanging perspectives on mutual concerns, fostering idea-sharing, and promoting cooperation to address challenges and enhance unity.
