FestPAC Delegation Leaves Yap Departing for Cultural Exchange Friday, June 07, 2024 // DYCA PIO

Colonia, Yap - On Tuesday night, June 04, 2024, the Yap State Delegation left Yap on their way to Hawaii. The delegation, comprised of the dancers, youth representatives, and officials, arrived in Hawaii on Wednesday, June 05, 2024. Anticipation fills the air as the team eagerly awaits the journey ahead, poised to engage in an intercultural exchange with the other island nations of the Pacific Region. This initiative aims to celebrate and share the Yapese wisdom in the basket and to the other island nations, highlighting the rich heritage and diversity of our community. Led by Jeffrey Marbey, the Officer of the Historical Preservation Office, the delegation includes 25 members, representing various sectors such as arts, education, and business. The event, scheduled to take place from June 06, 2024, to June 16, 2024, promises to strengthen cross-cultural ties and enhance mutual understanding between the islands.
