The Improving and Strengthening Leadership for Nature-based Development (ISLAND) Program – an initiative implemented by NatureFiji-MareqetiViti (NFMV) in collaboration with U.S. Forest Service International Programs - is accepting proposals from Pacific-based non-profit organizations for projects in the following thematic areas: - Terrestrial and Mangrove Forest Restoration - Community-Based Forest Management, Agroforestry and Alternative Livelihoods - Biodiversity Conservation Project proposal budgets can be up to $40,000 USD for project implementation and monitoring of outcomes and an additional $10,000 USD for travel.
