Gravel Barge Arrival Spurs Traffic Plan: Practice Road SafetyTuesday, February 20, 2024//DCYA

Colonia, Yap -  At 9 AM on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, another barge carrying gravel arrived at the landing site south of the Nungoch peninsula. GPPC has implemented its traffic control plan to facilitate the offloading of gravel and the transportation of both GPPC compounds. The control plan aims to ensure safe and efficient traffic management between the landing site and the GPPC compounds. Heavy machinery(e.i. Dump trucks) will be operating from Nungoch to GPPC yards 1 and 2 from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM, starting on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024.


Furthermore, the general public is urged to exercise caution and drive safely. Be vigilant of traffic crossing in and out of the roads, as well as movements of heavy equipment.
