Colonia, Yap - A workshop led by the COM-FSM Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) took place on February 12th and February 13th, 2024, within the confines of the Small Business Center’s conference room, dedicated to advancing Green Climate Fund (GCF) Food Security initiatives.
Notable attendees from COM-FSM CFE Executive Director Timothy James Mamangon, CFE Office Manager Mr. Mauricio Santiago, Consultant Juan Paulo Santos, and Lisa Deras, alongside Yap State’s GCF Food Security project coordinator Mercedes Tiningmow.
The focal point of the workshop centered on the GCF FSL Component Objective 3 and communication strategy, fostering collaboration among stakeholders to devise effective plans for the project's success. With the primary aim to raise awareness and comprehension in Yap State regarding the manifold benefits of local produce cultivation, the workshop endeavors to incentivize individuals and communities towards investing in localized food production, thereby catalyzing positive impacts on community welfare, health, culture, and the economy.
