Yap, FSM –This week, there have been two reported cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The first case involves an 81-year-old patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, while the second is a 28-year-old diagnosed with severe anemia, pneumonia, and under investigation for potential pulmonary tuberculosis.
Additionally, Woleai and OPD Main Hospital reported a total of two cases of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI). One patient presents with symptoms of cough and a fever of 102°F, while the other has been clinically diagnosed with pneumonia of unspecified origin.
Satawal Dispensary also reported a case of diarrhea involving a patient aged 15 years.
Health authorities continue to monitor these cases and encourage the public to seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness or gastrointestinal distress. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
