Yap, FSM – Last week Friday, ‘Mathawal Yap’ boat departed Yap proper and arrived last Saturday, August 10th, with over 2,000 lbs of various fish, such as humpback snapper, blackjack, and dogtooth tuna, by Captain Samson(aka Sam) Hasiuguluur and his hardworking crewmates.
Captain Sam has been providing fish to the Yap Fishing Authority(YFA) since 2020 and efforts have greatly contributed to the availability of fresh, locally sourced fish for the residents of Yap. We wish to extend its heartfelt thanks to Captain Sam and his dedicated crew for their unwavering efforts. Their contributions are deeply valued and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of many in Yap.
