JICA Meets with Yap State Governor Chieng - January 15, 2024 // DYCA

Colonia, Yap - On January 10, 2024, at 10:00 am, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) made a courtesy call with T.H. Governor Charles Chieng.


At the meeting were affiliates representing JICA: Ms. Asuka Akahoshi, Coordinator for Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers, Ms. Jovianne W. Phillip, Program Officer, and Ms. Vivian Legarofyang, the Department of Resources and Development Training Coordinator. Along with Mr.Paul Ayin, Chief of Staff, and T.H. Lt. Governor Francis Itimai who were also in attendance.


The representatives for JICA met with T.H. Governor Chieng to express appreciation for his hospitality and to inform him of their arrival to visit various departments that requested JICA volunteers. Discussions focused on undertaking collaborative programs to recruit participants in Japan to work for the departments that sought JICA volunteers. JICA offered potential volunteering and training project-based funding programs that would benefit departments' objectives.
