Colonia, Yap – On Thursday, June 06, 2024, the Finance Committee of the 11th Legislature of the State of Yap scheduled three public hearings to be held at the Legislative Chamber regarding Gov. Comm. No. 11-240, pertaining requests that need Legislature appropriation under the General Funds. The requests focused on the Division of Land Resources at the Department of Resources & Development's proposed supplemental budget of $80,112.00 in December 2023 to fund two survey equipments and accessories as a replacement. Also, the Sports Office proposed a supplement budget of $185,474.94 to fund the Yap athletes and officials participating in the Micro Games 2024 in Majuro, Marshall Islands.
Lastly, the Department of Public Works and Transportation(DPW&T) also submitted a proposed supplement budget of $150,000.00 for Roadside maintenance from August 2024 till July 2025 to be sourced out under the Prior Year (Compact II) Infrastructure Maintenance Fund.

The Chairman of the Board of Sports Council, Juanito Hasugulmal, Vice Chairman of the board of sports council, Charles Falmayog, the Director of the Board of sports council, Jesse Sigeyog, the Youth Sport Coordinator, Larry Uwelur, and the Fitness & Health Coordinator, Manuel Minginfel were also in attendence.
