Yap, FSM – The Marine Resources Management Division (MRMD) completed the renovation of its main office building on June 7th, 2024. The newly renovated and gated compound now includes a main office building, a workshop station with a research laboratory room, and an aquaculture research station operated by the College of Micronesia Research Extension (COM-CRE). The MRMD staff relocation process took approximately two weeks, with full-functioning status to begin by Thursday, June 27th, 2024. This project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Yap Department of Public Works and Transportation, D4 Construction, the College of Micronesia - Research Extension, and the Yap Department of Resources and Development.
