Proposed General Court order on Amending Rules 5, 7, 8, and 10 of the Rules of the State Bar of Yap Monday, April 07, 2025/// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM -The Yap State Court has posted a draft general court order, which would amend Rules 5, 7, 8, and 10 of the Rules of the State Bar of Yap. These amendments reflect a requirement that an applicant successfully pass both the FSM bar exam and a general exam regarding the traditional and customary laws of the State of Yap, which is to be developed and administered by the Yap State Court. 

Copies of the draft general court order are posted on the bulletin boards at the Yap State Court. Under the court’s rulemaking procedure, the public has twenty business days—or until May 5, 2025—to submit comments on the proposed amendments.
