Public Hearing Held on Governor's Recommended Budget for FY2026 Tuesday, April 22, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

The Committee on Finance of the Eleventh Legislature of the State of Yap held a public hearing on Governor’s Communication No. 11-340, which outlined the recommended budget for Fiscal Year 2026.

The hearing took place at the Legislature Chamber on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

The proposed budget included funding plans for the Governor’s Office and related departments. The Senators who were present were Finance Chairman, Senator Pius Talimesei, Finance Vice-Chair Anne-marie Laamar, and Vice Speaker Rutun Theodore.. 

The following officials were invited and participated in the hearing:

1. Lieutenant Governor, and staff  

2. Chief of Budget, Office of Planning and Budget (OPB)  

3. Chief of Personnel, Office of Administrative Services (OAS)  

4. Chief of Finance, OAS  

The general public was welcomed to join and to share their own testimony.
