PW&T Recognizes Moses Pitmag for over 40 Years of Service April 12, 2023 // DPW&T

Mr. Moses Pitmag was recognized for his exceptional service to the Department of Public Works and Transportation in a ceremony held on April 12, 2023. He began his career in 1980 as a short-term contractor, working as a carpenter repairing Government Housing before moving on to roles in the Refuse Collection Program and to the Road and Ground Division.


Moses was highly valued by his team for his hardworking and humble nature, showing dedication, sacrifice, and exemplary commitment to his job. The ceremony recognized his excellent performance and contributions to the department, as well as wishing him a happy birthday.

In attendance at the ceremony were Governor Chieng, Speaker Figirlaarwon, members of the cabinet, and department staff, all recognizing Moses Pitmag’s over 40 years of service to the Department of Public Works and to the State of Yap.


As he retires, the department expresses gratitude and appreciation for his many years of outstanding service. They are proud to have had him as a member of their team and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
