Yap, FSM – The Wa’ab Community Health Center (CHC) and the Department of Health Services are offering free health screenings for cholesterol, kidney function, hemoglobin to check for anemia, hemoglobin A1C to check blood sugar, and fasting blood sugar from July 8th to 12th at the Maap/Rumung CHC site. Screenings are from 5:30 am to 7:30 am, with sites closing at 3:00 pm.
This service is open to those 35 and older, or younger individuals with obesity or a family history of heart disease/diabetes. Avoid eating, drinking, chewing betelnut, or smoking after midnight before your screening.
