Yap, FSM –The Committee on Resources, Education & Development (RED) of the 11th Legislature of the State of Yap has announced the public hearing regarding Gov. Comm. No. 11-262, which concerns the nomination of Mr. Bernard Gorong for Director of the Department of Resources & Development (RED), has been rescheduled. The new date for the hearing will be determined and announced at a later time.
Governor Chieng has endorsed Mr. Gorong, stating, “Mr. Gorong is a proactive and experienced individual who has been with the department since 2007. He is well-acquainted with the functions and divisions within the department.”
Witnesses expected to participate in this session include T.H. Charles S. Chieng, Governor; Mr. Bernard Gorong, Nominee; the Acting Attorney General from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG); and the Chairman or their designees from both the Council of Pilung (COP) and the Council of Tamol (COT).
