Yap, FSM – Yap, FSM – Today, January 9, 2025, the Department of Youth and Civic Affairs flew back to Yap from a community outreach program from Yap to Fais Island and Ulithi Island to connect with local young people. The plan includes meeting with local chiefs to explain the purpose of the visit, giving out candies to children with Santa Claus, visiting the Historical Preservation Office project, registering eligible voters, and updating master lists, and youth programs. The first day will wrap up with a movie night for the community.

On January 7, the team continued their work in Falalop, Ulithi Island, focusing on more outreach activities and hosting a movie night. On January 8, they visited schools to engage with students through games and activities, Promoting Youth initiatives.
