Yap, FSM - The U.S. Ambassador, Jennifer Johnson, and Deputy Chief of Mission, Teresa Filepin, are to arrive in Yap State this Sunday morning, September 15, 2024.

This visit marks a significant opportunity for diplomatic engagement and further strengthens the ties between the United States and Yap State.


Ambassador Johnson and Deputy Chief Filepin will be undertaking a courtesy visit to meet with Yap State’s leadership and engage in discussions aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation. The visit underscores the U.S. commitment to fostering strong and positive relationships with its partners in the Pacific region.


During their stay, Ambassador Johnson and Deputy Chief Filepin will engage in a series of meetings with key officials, including Yap State’s Governor and other prominent leaders. The discussions will focus on various topics of mutual interest.
