Colonia, Yap—The Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Honorable Aren B. Palik, arrived in Yap on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:30 AM. He will continue to be on Yap until Saturday, June 15, 2024. The Vice President is accompanied by the second lady, madame Adelita Palik, Special Assistant to the President, Ari Skilling, and the FSM Consulate Office in Guam’s Representative, Ganang Tareg. The main purpose of his visit is to attend the Yap High School’s graduation as their esteemed guest of honor. For the entirety of his stay, he has courtesy calls with the Honorable Governor, Charles S. Chieng, the Speaker of the 11th Yap State Legislature, the Honorable Nicholas Figirlaarwon, and Yap State Senators. In addition, He will meet with the CEO and Founder of Iboom, Lubuw Falanruw, the honorable LT. Governor Francis Itimai, and DYCA Director, Alex Gilfiley, on the military developments on the island and other important issues pertaining to the Yap State.
He will also tour the Airport/Seaport Developments and tend to other activities per request.
