Weather and Tide Update for Tomorrow, August 29th!

Yap, FSM - According to the National Weather Service, tomorrow’s weather forecast for Yap State predicts partly sunny skies with isolated showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Expect east winds ranging from 10 to 15 mph and high temperatures reaching around 88°F. The chance of showers is approximately 20 percent. So, make sure to get all your betelnut before it rains and bring an umbrella just in case.


The evening will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph are expected, and temperatures will drop to around 79°F. The chance of showers increases to 30 percent.


Tide Schedule:

  • High Tide: 2:44 AM reaching its peak at 4.56 feet and 6:13 PM with a height of 3.97 feet.

  • Low Tide: 10:27 AM with a descending height of 1.64 feet and 10:41 PM with a height of 3.28 feet.


So, if you like going clam hunting, the best time to go is in the morning. And if you enjoy fishing, the tide is high in the late evening to cast a line.
