Yap, FSM - According to the Yap Weather Service Office, the weekend’s forecast is mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, so make sure to get all the betelnut for your market before it rains, and if you are going to the taro patch, bring your raincoat. With east winds 10 to 15 mph, with highs around 87°F and lows around 78°F. There is a 30 percent chance of showers. 


Saturday night and Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers, lows in the upper 70°F, and highs in the upper 80°F s. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms, with lows around 80°F. So if it's going to be hot, stay hydrated.


Lastly, if you're planning to go to the beach this weekend, Saturday morning is ideal. At around 7:50 AM, the tide will peak at 6 feet, making it the best time for swimming and to cast your lines. By 2 PM, the tide will drop to 1 foot and will gradually rise again, reaching about 5 feet by 11 PM. 


Sunday morning is the best time for fishing, with the tide starting at 4 feet at 2 AM and increasing to 6 feet by 7:50 AM. For those who enjoy clam hunting, the tide will be at 1 foot by 2 PM and will rise to 4 feet by around 11:40 PM.
