As the State of Yap prepares for its 54th Yap Day celebration, many government entities, private businesses, and communities around Yap are looking forward to and preparing for the event.
Among those preparing is the Yap Fishing Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to boating safety and fishing tournaments.
In a meeting held at the Yap Cap Conference room on February 13th, 2024, members of the club and its officer confirmed plans for a Yap Day Fishing Derby scheduled for March 2nd, 2024.
Registration for this derby will be at Pine Club on February 28th, 2024, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Moreover, according to the Yap Fishing Club, the fishing derby will be an addition to the 54th Yap Day celebrations.
