Colonia Yap - In a memo dated February 17, 2025, Governor Charles S. Chieng informed all departments, offices, and agencies in the Government that in keeping with the standing policy concerning legal holidays he has proclaimed next week Friday, February 28, 2025, a holiday in observance of this year’s Yap Day Holiday.
Further in the memo, to ensure the success of this year’s Yap Day celebrations, the Yap Day Committee has requested administrative leave for state government employees on the following days:
Wednesday, February 26, 2025: Half Day (1:00 pm - 4:30 pm)
Thursday, February 27, 2025: Full Day (7:30 am - 4:30 pm)
Monday, March 3, 2025: Full Day (7:30 am - 4:30 pm)
All State Government offices will be closed on these dates, with the exception of departments, offices, and agencies providing essential public services. These essential services will remain operational.
